This publication was done to stress the importance of typography in our everyday lives and the major role it played. From billboards, to mastheads, to public transports and even the food you consumed today; typography plays a role in every single thing but most of the humans out there do not recognize its significance.
In this book, I will be touching on the fashionista typeface, ‘Bodoni’, also known as one of the greatest typographical achievements in history. It is a compilation of my personal analysis and interpretation on its suitability and success to be used in the fashion industry. Manipulation of the type elements contributed a huge part in this project but let us not forget the key person to this great type accomplishment, Giambattissta Bodoni.
The ultimate goal of this publication is to allow the audience to understand how and in what aspect the font relates to the fashion industry in terms of style, feel, features etc., along with the story behind the font. The publication should be capable of projecting and relating to the characteristics of Bodoni through its structure and layout, followed by its content.
